Actually not being pedantic on this occasion but felt left out after everyone else seems to have been 'clamouring' for their new topic to be made a 'sticky'.Devil's Advocate wrote:Are you thinking of challenging for the "Pedant" award this year SB?stour_boy wrote:'Sticky'!

Is the Stour forum really the place for all these posh words like pedantic & clamouring Âstour_boy wrote:Well done on spotting the deliberate mistake ÂStourLeedsMark wrote:You are pedantic.stour_boy wrote:Actually not being pedantic on this occasion but felt left out after everyone else seems to have been 'clamouring' for their new topic to be made a 'sticky'.Devil's Advocate wrote:Are you thinking of challenging for the "Pedant" award this year SB?stour_boy wrote:'Sticky'!

And were to start about The Banter, like moaning about each other, but do they ever speak to each other on match days? End of day we at stour like to take the p**s out of each other and have the characters for this to happen! Now were to i start about Andy Hill and his annus horribulus!
PS Neil,it's "he's scored" not "his scored" etc like you usually put.brockmoor wrote:PS DA.... Its Hemel
I have got Hemel wrong a few times, but not as many times as you've used "his" instead of "he's".brockmoor wrote:I believe I have seen on four occasions that you have spelt Hemel wrong!
I will allow for YOU living on the wrong side of Lye, I live a number of miles away.
Chesham looked no great shakes against us in the match played at Redditch. We were woeful defensively first half but pulling back from 3-0 down to 3-2 with half hour still to play,we had them 'on the ropes' and really should have got at least a point out of it.Devil's Advocate wrote:Workington losing 2-0 away at Harrogate ( my home town club ) at half time tonight.
Significant i think because Harrogate have been on a terrible run over the last six weeks, having said this Workington have lost every away game so far so obviously don't travel well.
Chesham winning 3-0 at St.Neots, them and Hemmel looking a class apart this season in my opinion.
