Here was me thinking we'd actually signed someone. Sad

The "out" door is obviously open if today's rumour is true but alas the"in' door is still having general maintenance and is closed at present.'affraid'

I wonder if we are still interested in that Sutton Coldfield Town starlet, Kristian Ramsey-Dickson.

stoursi

I thought i had read that Ramsey Dickinson had either signed a one year deal or was on trial at Chesterfield.

He was supposed to be on SL forms with us last season (though when it was mentioned around the time we played Sutton it seemed to be news to everybody I spoke to) but of course that means nothing when it comes to next season.

Generally speaking, I'd guess we're waiting to see what the situation is with Macca (and maybe one or two others) before we plunge into the market. You'd like to think we are attractive to players these days, but whover you are and however "big" you are there is always somebody more attractive (unless you're Manchester United) - look at last season when we missed out on Jay Denny.

Gone to Alfreton, according to Sutton's twitter.

When it was said a few weeks ago that a striker will be signed 'by the weekend', what weekend were they talking? Was it one in September! Wink

Nahh, using the Club's transfer model of last year, we'll be in second come March and decide we need a striker. But by then it'll be too late. Wink

Two strikers have agreed terms apparently, but haven't signed yet.  Here's hoping they do.

What bothers me about that, Jim, is if terms have been agreed why haven't they signed? Are they holding off in case a better offer comes along?

There ain't a fat lot we can do if that's the situation. You can offer whatever deal you want but you can't force a player to "put pen to paper" unless he wants to.

PS. Are you still of the booze for January???

I would suggest £50 a week would be more than enough to get Dovey & Palmer in Smile

Obviously those strikers are waiting to see if they get better offers.

Gary is left in no mans land or the club have to go out on a limb. Perhaps some of the rumours may concern some players re promotion.

See not all of last season squad have resigned are they looking for better offers or being passed over by the management.

Could be a good signing.
See Geddes and Ward have resigned. Hope Adam does well after his injury.
We seem to be signing or resigning players who like to play central midfield.
Desparately need some width in the squad and a couple of strikers.

Stoursi says we need width....don't forget Rocky and Wurzle are both back.
I bet they are chomping at the bit.....Almost like two new signings as far as I'm concerned.

Tricky tree haven't seen any news that either of the two you mention have resigned for yet.

Think it will be a few months before we see Sam if he resigns. Also both are coming back from bad injuries.

From what I hear(for what it's worth) they will both be ready for pre season.
Can't see them not re-signing....no team is going to come in for two players with long term injuries.

Yeah, sure I heard Aaron and Rocky have both signed on?

He may be a good player, but am I the only one slightly concerned that while I'll rivals are signing top quality players, we're signing players from Redditch and Market Drayton? Neutral

Not really. Nathan Bennett and Ryan Rowe were both signed from Cradley Town.

They both worked out alright.

Jack think you will find he was on loan at Redditch therefore not a signing from that club.

He must have been a decent or a player with a future for man utd to sign him.

Can someone tell me where they have seen that wurzel and rocky have signed. Also sam's injury takes 9 months to recover and since his operation was January then November must be a date for his return.

If someone tells me that a possible striker from a 'Cradley' will suffice, for a replacement for Mackey i will scream! We need a quality striker who can fit right in straight away.
