I'm sure that Whitehawk FC was not the No.1 choice for many supporters when the draw was made, but at least it does give us a good chance to progress to the 2nd round.
After all when the same draw was made last season and we got Dover away, most people almost automatically wrote us off as not having a chance due to them being unbeaten at home and 2 divisions higher. But we went there and proved to everyone the reason why we were in that draw in the first place by winning 2-1. And if we play as well at Whitehawk as we did on Saturday at Nantwich, then I see no reason why we can't win again.
Yes it is another away tie but at least we didn't get Stevenage again, although we were close to getting Eastleigh.
We have to make sure that the team get the same amount of vocal support at Whitehawk as they did at Dover, so that we can be in the draw for the next round. Over the last few seasons the team have done us all proud in the FA cup, and it is good to have finally broken our hoodoo of only getting to the 1st round proper in odd years.
So let's try and do the town of Stourbridge proud again this season, by getting as far as possible in the FA cup.
But most of all let's do it for Justin Richards, and we all wish him a full recovery no matter how long it takes.
