Another big game for us this weekend.

Three points would get us closer to St Albans and with a game in hand.

If we play like we did against Hemel after they scored and up to the pen and the away performance at Banbury it should be a good game.

Notice that they are missing a couple of players.

What happened about our appeal on Will's red card?

Good luck to the players and management.

Will's red card has been overturned on appeal, so no suspension...

BUT it has been transferred to Netan who has a two-match ban starting wth the St Albans game.

Looks like we could be missing Ben on Saturday.

Thought it was normally only a one-match man for a red card for preventing a goalscoring opportunity - how come he's got two?

Second red card this season (first was while playing for Boston) so he gets an extra game, as would Will, had the suspension stayed with him.

Circumstances have conspired against me and I'm going to miss this one annoyingly. They have been on a bit of a rocky spell lately so hopefully we can make the most of it and put ourselves In a good position.

All the upcoming games over the next week or two are pretty big as they are against teams who are either around us or sneaking up on us. A good little run here and we'll be well placed! COYG

Missed opportunity, particularly given other results. Never looked like scoring. We thrash the poor sides but aren't good enough to trouble the better teams. Once again the squad looks bare and there's no-one on the bench to change things

A frustrating afternoon ! Even though St Albans looked good in the first half, and were handed their goal through slipshod defending, the second half was more even and the game was there to be taken. But where was the urgency ? This was probably the most important game of the season points-wise but there seemed to be a lack of team spirit, with too many players having off-days, particularly Sean.

I think we've seen the best of Wurzel and, although George was out of position, he was an improvement.

Leon and Will had good games but, although we were missing several key players, today we did not look play -off material.

Roll on Tuesday !

A difficult afternoon, we huffed and puffed but never looked like getting anywhere and with St Albans not a great deal better, it was a dire game to watch. A jittery defensive and goalkeeping display again, although to be expected with the makeshift back 4, it was a sloppy goal to concede though. Disappointing that we couldn't create much, it was there to be taken by the scruff of the neck but we where all over the place at times.

Onwards to Tuesday, hope we can get back on track but fear it could be similar to today.

So we are up against two 6ft plus centre halves and our tactics are to crash it aimlessly up front.....absolute genius.
Woeful performance.

Very muted reaction to yesterday's defeat, probably because of the extremely limo manner of said performance. Forward line just didn't function at all; Luke and Ben didn't get a look in during the first half when high ball after high ball were played against the two giant centre halves. Slightly better in the second half when we started to play along the ground a bit more, but couldn't understand the rationale of switching Luke onto the wing once Knight came on; I think he's much better placed in the centre of the pitch.

Felt sorry for Wurzel, brought back in from the cold to play in a position he's not comfortable in and then to be hauled off at half time to be replaced by another out of position player.

With these sorts of home performances it's looking increasingly likely that we're hanging on to 5th place rather than trying to catch the rest; St Albans recognised the importance of yesterday's game and turned in a good performance while we just didn't get started.

MotM was Leon with 11 votes, Will received 9, Ben 3 , Drew, Sean & Dean 1 each & 1 felt unable to vote.

The wine was won by Simon Broadhead.

When your best two players are your two central defenders that says a lot about the performance.

Another poor display in front of a good crowd.

Too many players having an off day and we really didn't compete.

Felt sorry for Aaron but George ain't a left back either. I realise at times people have to fill in but we should use George as an attacking option.

We never competed in midfield to get a grip of the game.

Squad again looks thin as we had two youth team players on the bench. Asking a lot of those two and for me asking too much.

We need to get all the players back and perhaps a couple of signings wouldn't go a miss.

Tuesday now becomes a big game for us again. Only three points will do.
