Another £3250 to bank from today's FA Trophy victory at Mickleover added to the £2700 earned for our 1st qualifying round win v Banbury.

Thats £5950 from the FA Trophy in addition to the £27,500 earned from the FA Cup so far so a grand total of £33,450 so far plus the extra gate money and bar money earned.

Theres £18,000 up for grabs if we can beat Biggleswade next Saturday and £4000 on offer for the next round of the FA Trophy.

To have £33,450 banked at this stage after earning "sweet Fanny Adams" last season is a real boost, long may it continue.

Let's hope our transfer targets don't start bumping up their wage demands!

Roughly how much is spent annually on player wages?

I wish i knew! Only a handful of people really know, and none of them post on here. Any other answers are pure guesswork. My guess would be we average about £150 per player per week, which would be about £2,500 per week, or £100k over 40 weeks. Pure guesswork though

That figure wouldn't be too far away from annual gate receipts I suppose.

Not all the player's are on that sort of money but i would guess that from what i know your overall math's is pretty close to the mark.

There is also the management team's wages to be added as well.

I know that we bust the budget by £12,000 last season though primarily due to being dumped out of both cups in the first round.

£100k a season seems a fair enough estimate to me.

Another £18,000 in the pot today plus gate receipts, commercial packages, bar takings and the £7 made from Jim's scarf sales!

This means that prize money alone has now amounted to £51,450 in the FA Cup and FA Trophy with another £4000 on offer if we can beat North Ferriby next week.

If we can win our second round FA Cup tie the prize money for that is £27,500.

Wolves home or away for me in the next round ( if they can scrape through their replay ) but if not the easiest tie possible at home followed by Man Utd away.

Maybe we should follow their template and bring in a shyster to run the show who then imports players from France and employes "Fat" Ron as a "consultant" whilst almost driving the club into oblivion.

Yes……they really do have a business model to aspire to.

Where have their supporters gone? They've got rid of the bad guys, they're doing well and they still can't get 300 to watch them.

As we saw a few years ago, people are quick to stop going when things go downhill, and not so quick to return when things improve. Hopefully a few of them have seen the light and come and watch us instead.

Halesowen were always a small club with poor attendances until the era when Paddy Page built that great team with the Joinson twins up front.

All that's happened is that with mediocrity they've reverted to their natural level with supporter numbers.

Back in the 70's and early 80's Stourbridge attendences were always higher and more solid than Halesowen's until they started reaching FA Vase finals and doing well in the league.

Let's be honest,Halesowen is only really a bus stop on the way to Birmingham.

At the risk of being a killjoy, be very careful.

There was a time when I never thought we would ever be at the same level as them again, partly due to our ground issues back then, but it came to pass. The wheel will turn again one day and they will have the upper hand.

That being said, all the more reason to enjoy the good times while they last!
