Although not at our best, hardly surprising with all of the recent changes, a 'professional' performance saw us achieve a well-deserved but tight victory against a side that, although having a lot of ball possession, rarely threatened Matt.

The new-look defence was solid with Josh giving a most impressive debut. Midfield worked hard with Tom, as always, playing a true captain's role by setting the example. Up front, Luke and Jordan are getting to know how the other plays.

Although Josh was close to being my MOTM, my vote went to Luke whose unchallenged header was as a result of a very early leap. His second, after Ethan had seemingly squandered the chance, came as a huge relief, putting it mildly !

However, overshadowing the welcome 3 points were the injuries to Matt, Kayelden and, more worryingly, to Jack. Being without him for at least the next few weeks will be a big loss as he's been mainly responsible for the tightening up of our defence . Here's to a speedy recovery, Jack !

With yesterday's bench not looking that strong, coupled with these injuries, only underlies what we already know that re-inforcements are needed.
