Any idea why he's gone ? Shame because he seemed o.k. I've heard that McCone has left Hednesford, don't want him back.

Very disappointing, he had started the season well. Not sure on the reasons yet but one less in the squad was not what we wanted at this early stage.

Can't say I'm surprised that, if true, Lee Chilton has left. When warming up with the other subs. on Monday night, his body language was that of someone not interested.

With Paul McCone, although a very good player at our level, I don't think we should even consider re-signing him the way that he used us not once but twice last season. I know the circumstances are completely different but, as a matter of principle, taking a leaf out of Jeremy Peace's book springs to mind.

If McCone comes back again, he'll be about as popular as a ginger haired stepson.
