Not many Northern clubs in the draw. Maybe 20,22 at a push. Ramsbottom or Scarborough away for me please! Not sure where Scarborough are actually playing these days though?

Darlington could be quite interesting too.

It looks like Merthyr have been included in the Southern section too Jack. Looking at TRM's list of qualifiers again,it seems the teams in our section are from Trafford down to Kidsgrove. There we are,our second Kidsgrove mention on here in a week! It looks like being them doesn't it?!

Other than Rushall, there are no other local teams as such in our section of the draw. Next closest appears to be Kidsgrove or Leek.

Oops, forgot the winners of the Redditch/Chasetown replay and Coalville too. Both would be closer than Kidsgrove or Leek!

FC United at home please, if they win replay. Winnable, big away following, good atmosphere & more money in the coffers.

We could also do a Sheffield double. Draw Sheffield in the FA Trophy, beat Workington, then get Sheffield Utd in the FA Cup! It's amazing how often those twists of fate actually happen.

Just like playing away at Buxton 2 Saturdays on the trot in both the FA Cup then the Trophy.

Exactly! Lincoln City have had similar twist of fate this very week. They played away at Kiddy yesterday and will be back there next Saturday as they have got Worcester City away in the FA Cup.

We could get FC United in the Trophy, followed by Bury in the Cup.

But let's worry about Workington first.

Yes TRM, certainly not going to jump the gun and get carried away just yet! I don't know if it's just me but cup draws more than anything else send me off into dreamland.

Not going to fantasise too much about two trips to Gigg Lane though!

Hometown of an ex-girlfriend, not good omens.

They are doing well in the Evo-Stik South so far after a few seasons of struggle in the Premier.

I've been to their ground a few times previously with aforementioned ex-girlfriend's Dad. They have a decent, three-sided ground! Hard standing behind both goals and a good sized seated & covered stand along one side. There was a good amount of parking available from memory too.

For the public transport aficionados amongst us there's a decent bus service from Derby to Mickleover and a good pub, the Great Northern, just down from the ground.

Going well in the NPL 1 South - same Division as Halesowen and Sutton Coldfield Town - played 12, won 8, drawn 1, lost 3. But conceded 21 goals in those 12 games, which suggests they can be "got at". Two of their defeats have been against unbeaten table-toppers Leek, but one of those was 4-0, and they also lost 4-0 at Belper in the League as well.

Got some revenge on Belper by winning 3-2 there in the First Round of the Trophy on Saturday.

In the FA Cup they drew 3-3 at home to Corby, and lost the replay 5-2.

The full draw, for anybody interested...

Witton Albion or FC United of Manchester v Leek Town
Mickleover Sports v Stourbridge
Rushall Olympic v AFC Fylde or Kendal Town
Blyth Spartans v Ramsbottom United
Coalville Town v Marine or Burscough
Scarborough Athletic v Cambridge City
Redditch United or Chasetown v Brigg Town
Kidsgrove Athletic v Curzon Ashton
Northwich Victoria v Mossley
Matlock Town v St Neots Town
Gresley v Trafford
Sheffield v Buxton or Darlington 1883
St Ives Town v Nantwich Town
Grantham Town or Soham Town Rangers v Chorley
Carshalton Athletic v Egham Town
Chesham United v Weymouth
Folkestone Invicta v Hungerford Town
St Albans City v Billericay Town
Arlesey Town v Frome Town or Poole Town
Ramsgate v Three Bridges
Enfield Town v Grays Athletic or Herne Bay
Hastings United v AFC Sudbury
Wingate & Finchley or Hitchin Town v Daventry Town
Wealdstone v Maidstone United
Merthyr Town v Dunstable Town
Hampton & Richmond Borough or Bedford Town v Metropolitan Police
Marlow v Burnham
Dulwich Hamlet v Leatherhead
Margate v Clevedon Town
Bury Town v Chatham Town
Hemel Hempstead Town v North Greenford United
Bognor Regis Town v Chippenham Town
Hendon v Bideford
Canvey Island v Eastbourne Town or East Thurrock United
Tiverton Town v Mangotsfield United
Hythe Town v Whitstable Town or Potters Bar Town

One or two not-so-regional ties there. Cambridge City travelling to Scarborough, Bideford to Hendon, Clevedon to Margate and Dunstable to Merthyr.

And Soham v Chorley (potentially) is a tie that just sounds very odd, somehow...

You can get the A38 practically straight there!

It's not far from the (in)famous "McDonald's Island"
