The NLP are reporting that Bridgnorth Town are on the point of folding.

A big shame - this was one of my favourite away games in our MFA days and a good old traditional club that I always had a lot of time for.

Hopefully they'll be able to reform and make their way back up the leagues.

I've read that they're going to reform as Bridgnorth FC (or similar) and start again in the West Mids League - probably not the Premier Division I would guess.

Can well remember them being up towards the top of the old SL Midland Division in the early 90s when it was step 3. With money talking more and more they were never going to be able to sustain that these days but there should be no reason why a town the size of Bridgnorth shouldn't be able to support a good step 5 club, possibly step 4, if it is well run.

Yeah heard this a few weeks ago, i think Lye Town were hoping it meant a second promotion place from the West Midlands Premier League.
