Even though we're still not firing on all cylinders, the overall performance was worthy of the win against a good Whitby side that, although playing neat, attractive football, rarely threatened.

Couldn't work out why the penalty was given but there weren't many protests from us. Came as a relief when it was poorly taken.

Although blotting his copybook with their goal, Matt was more commanding when dealing with corners. Kristian had a good game but I still think his best position is full back. I'm still to be convinced that Darryl is a better option. Dan was his usual strong self but Junior has still to reach the heights of last season.

In midfield, Drew had a quiet game. Chris at times looked dangerous and, even though he is the crowd favourite, Tom is still not in the same class as Mr Consistent, Leon.

We've come to expect Luke to score and, again, he didn't let us down. Hope Kayelden's injury isn't as bad as it looked.

Summarising, a good win against an in-form team and a very welcome 3 points.
