There's too much of the football league attitude on here lately. I'm bored of hearing about West bloody Brom, how they go about their business etc is irrelevant to us.

Fans threatening to 'leave', people accusing others of being on the football clubs 'side' like they're some sort of evil empire.

Arn't we all on the same side? Personally, it's time folks got a grip on reality and what's important in life. Get a hobby, or a dog or something.

Is watching pornography classed as a hobby Aled?

Agree with Aled.  I find it hard to put into words the sadness and exasperation of Stourbridge supporters sniping at one another and club as a whole.  I might not like what i see on the pitch or some things the club does ( don't like the idea of seats in the shed even though i've not been in there for years ) but first and foremost i am a supporter of the club.  I don't think the club cares what is said on the forum and if they do they should not, i can't imagine why anyone would want to use the forum for any agenda. As for the club officials i have found them approachable, some more so than others, but that's general of people in life, at most i'm on nodding terms with them. I don't mind fans disagreeing with one another, it's part and parcel of the game, but much of what's on the forum recently is certainly not "witty banter".  Some consistency on the pitch wouldn't go amiss though.

Sam is right. The club don't care about the forum. No matter how much some want to believe otherwise.

Aled, Sam, Jack - God love ya......finally some sanity on this thread.

I think the forum is great......but this week, on this thread (shudders).....its become the written equivalent of Motorway rubber-necking - you know you shouldn't be looking at it, but you get drawn in as you can't quite believe other peoples stupidity.

Aled's line - "Enjoy it for what it is" - hits the nail squarely on the head.

Why exactly does having an opinion on something mean that these people are stupid?? Just because the opinions that I and many others hold might differ to the opinion held by others, does not mean we are stupid. Quite the contrary. I'm not going to get into another debate, but Brockmoor's comments along the lines of "people don't slag things off about the club for the sake of it" should be read and taken in. That's all I will say on the matter. But I will emphasise again, we are not stupid and not malicious.

The more moaning I hear and the more about stupid stuff the more I doubt that. It comes across a LOT that people use this as a means to take ridiculous pops at the club. The Ben money was the cherry on the cake.

Why was the 'Ben money' the cherry on the cake?

Once again, why cant posters ask the question about the length of time it took for the amount to be released?

Over two weeks to count £500 and announce it? Im told Steve Hyde has the match day gate money counted up by half time.

Once again.... Discussion forum, Right?

I see you grasped my point then. You can't have it both ways. It isn't a discussion forum for when you slag everyone off and then if anyone says otherwise they're pro club.

Likewise I can't go you're anti club just if you disagree with what I say. As it happens, you are anti club on A LOT. It just so happens I don't feel the need to be dragged one way or another.

Infrastructure of the club wouldn't be half the level it is without our current one. So I will do.

Let's be very clear about this.

Everything that has transpired on this thread over the last 5 days is the result of a club official coming on here and getting narky ( again! ) all because the rumour mill ( true fact ) happened to alert the fans that a 7 day approach was in for a player, wearing a club track suit, carrying a clipboard and shouting announcements very loudly on the ground tannoy does not give you free licence to start having a dig on an unofficial forum at genuine fans.

If said official hadn't reacted then this spat wouldn't have occurred.

A couple of other points if I may.

PhilC,I totally "got" your post earlier today and I can understand your position, its a natural reaction for you and TRM to be pissed when you hear the moans.

I have followed Stour since 74,your dad has been part of the club all of those years and for many years before then,in my humble opinion he is "Mr Stourbridge" and one day a statue should be erected to him, his service to Stour is truly amazing, I have the greatest respect for everything he has done for our club and added to that,a nicer man it would be hard to find,Stour owe a great debt to the old boy.

For this reason I understand why you and Rich really feel it when people are having a moan but to balance that it surely is right that on a forum fans have the right to pass scrutiny on the club?

When a supporters club was mentioned a year ago it was drowned out with stuff about "procedure" etc, etc, for this reason the forum is where spleen is vented.

I asked at the meeting we had with AP and Gary about having a specific board member spot reserved for a fan as voted for by the fans but this got poo pooed.

A lot of clubs miss a trick by not having a "link man" between club board and fans,in our case I can think of a couple of people well respected enough and of strong enough personality to fill such a role.

Agree with most of that Devil, but it's not the moaning per se, it's the barrage of negativity almost for the sake of it that is wearing.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course.

Some don't like "opinion" though Aled.

I get equally p1ssed when certain posters always seem to be "happy clappy" and everything to do with the club is always wonderful, the difference is that I don't attack them for their overly positive ( in my opinion ) but some of them can't wait to have a dig at anyone who has a moan.

I've only met you once in the flesh Aled but I know a lot of the lads that you know and your opinion is respected amongst many.

I'm putting you forward for the "link man" job!

Trouble is mate, given my physical attendance levels I guess I'd have to be the missing link!

Fair dos DA, but I think there is a difference between passing scrutiny and taking every advantage to have a pop, at people who i think are doing a bloody good voluntary job at running our club. We'll never all like everything they do, but when I think where we were the phrase be careful what you wish for springs to mind.,

I think everyone on here agrees that Clive was wrong to post what he posted, but I don't see why the point has to be raised over and over again.
