Many apologies. Yep, I'll hold my hands up, got this wrong. Didn't think it would happen, but it appears Ig will. Still, there's worse things to be proved wrong about,

News to me.. Great signing, however good a goalscorer Mackey is/was this is a far superior signing. Ryan is a complete player and IMO a team player.

Was a little sceptical about this as nothing seems to have been confirmed anywhere - Kiddy's or our website, for starters. But been told tonight it is a done deal.

Will be interesting to see how we go now. Ryan always worked well on his own up front, better than any other player since, although Luke was making strides in the right direction before we changed things round.

So do we turn the clock back 24 months and play Rowey on his own (and risk Luke getting itchy feet) or do we play them together up front? Or do we use Spray as more of the target man with one of Ryan or Luke playing off him and the other as "impact" from the bench?

Nice to have options!

EDIT - Would also be interested in the "small print". Such as can they recall him at short notice if they have an injury crisis? Can they recall him if they get a bid they find acceptable and want to sell him?

I had heard it was until January, but since heard its until the end if the season with an option. Great news. Welcome back Rowey

I'm told Kiddy can recall him in January, presumably with an eye on either of those scenarios.

Although its not official yet (on our website etc) It does seem that a few know that its a done deal. If so its a great signing by the club and congratulations must go to Andy & everyone at the club for pulling this one off.

I would suggest that Rowe & Benbow play in a two up front, but of course both can play in a 'one' with the other dropping deeper. We also have Spray and others who can cover if need be, such as Canavan & Billingham. We have a number of options and now the deal is completed very much looking forward to the start of the season.

Looking forward to the start of the season. Very Happy

Before we revert to 4-5-1 we HAVE to try both Luke & Ryan up front. Luke doesn't deserve to be dropped. FWIW, I can't see Kiddy wanting Rowey back if Burr is still in charge. They don't get on to say the least!

Yes, Canavan & Billingham can both play behind a sole striker. And yes having fallen down the stairs from top to bottom few nights ago, so i am on strong medication!!!
PS Dont forget the 'Connect 4' on Tuesday!
Maybe Saturday as feeling a lot livelier today! bounce

Cracking deal and got my mojo back after last season! But still have to be realistic about losing him January if kiddy get any injuries! RR and Burr may have a frosty relationship but the team will come first!

Ben--Sean--Leon--Rocky
Rowey--Luke

Everyone fit, I think we can agree that's our strongest front 6?
I think Rowey would want to stop the whole season tbh.
Roll on Saturday!

It's headlines on the back page of the Stourbridge News, so congratulations to everyone at the club for getting him back to Stour on loan cheers

I bet there are a few upset Kiddy fans, especially as the club forked out so much money for him only to see him return to us on loan.  But like others have said we must not rely on him as our only striker like we seemed to do previously, otherwise we could suffer the same problem as before if he was suddenly called back by Kiddy due to injuries.

Well back Ryan. Never thought that this could happen.

Well done to the chairman and manager for getting the deal done.

Ryan being interviewed on The Bridge, along with Gary and Nathan, after 7 tonight.

Can't listen myself as I'm at cricket with the kids. Would be interested in what is said if anybody listens in.

Turns out The Bridge rate Halesowen as the more important team! They've got their feature first. We're the big club now! Wink
